With my new Mac Book, I have after-hours and weekend access to my Spokesman-Review e-mail. In other words, you can get a message to me that way, if you see something on the blog that seems over the top. Or if you have a question. I check my e-mail a coupla times a day or night when I'm home. I've set out several things below to get you started this weekend, including a comment by Councilwoman Deanna Goodlander re: the LCDC. I can't imagine anything that's left to say on the subject. But I've been wrong before. It has a tinfoil feeling to it. Anyway, I hope you have a good weekend and get rested up for another fun-filled Huckleberries Online week, beginning Monday. Now, for your Saturday Wild Card ... .
Revised ISLA up for markup on Thursday
The committee has worked very closely with [Guam] Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo's office and my office in amending this bill. They listened very carefully to the testimony at the field hearing in August, and I feel have made significant improvements to the bill," said Tenorio. Congress determinedHe said the U.S. Congress is still determined to pass this bill during the 110th Congress despite the strong opposition presented by the Fitial administration, business organizations, and local CNMI groups to the proposed federal takeover."I am grateful that they have taken the time to consider the views and opinions of the people of the Commonwealth in their deliberations. I am returning to Washington to be present at the mark-up and be available if any member of the committee wishes to ask me any questions," said Tenorio.
Falkirk rally to upend Hearts
TWO goals in three minutes consigned Hearts to a seventh consecutive game without victory as Falkirk came from behind to record three points on Saturday. The inluential Russell Latapy entered the fray to inspire the overhauling of a 1-0 deficit following Ruben Palazuelos' first-half header for Hearts. Everton apply to enter Intertoto Cup
The Toffees are currently fourth in the Premier League, which would be good enough to earn them qualification for the preliminary rounds of next season's Champions League. Three further teams qualify for the UEFA Cup, with the next highest-ranked side eligible to enter the pre-season Intertoto Cup, which offers an alternative route into the UEFA Cup. Aston Villa, Blackburn and Manchester City have also applied for entry to the competition. Everton are still in this season's UEFA Cup, and will face Italian side Fiorentina in the last 16. Everton chief executive Keith Wyness told: 'Clearly European qualification through our league position or via the UEFA Cup is our main priority. 'However because of the deadline for Intertoto Cup applications, it would be remiss of us not to put our name forward.' Your views on this story? Email Newsdesk@soccernet.com .

Dan Celia Asks - Whose Money is it Anyway
MEDIA ADVISORY, Feb. 22 /Christian Newswire/ -- During this first quarter of 2008, American citizens are more concerned about the economy than they have been in the past decade. A looming recession, a downward spiral in the stock market and discouraged investors bring Dan Celia, Executive Director of the Regency Foundation, to ask a startling question: Just whose money is it anyway? With a unique perspective on financial issues, Dan Celia answers that question. "Remember, it's all God's. Because of this fact, we must become the finest stewards of the gifts God has bestowed upon us. This is true in every aspect of life and it is especially true when it comes to the money the Lord has allowed us to manage. The Bible talks about money over one hundred times, which means it is critical that we exercise discipline and good stewardship while employing biblical principles with our money."The Regency Foundation, a 501C3 non-profit organization, exists to help individuals and organizations biblically plan, invest in stocks, bonds and real estate and give wisely to biblically-based organizations across the United States.
